Our process and expectations from stakeholders
Our weatherization process starts with income eligibility verification, followed by detailed data collection on the building’s energy systems, conditions, and safety considerations. After a comprehensive energy audit, we develop a scope of work that includes recommended upgrades. Upon approval from the Department of Commerce, construction meetings are held to inform property owners and tenants about the work.
High-level process to get the building weatherized:
A streamlined process from eligibility verification to final energy-saving upgrades, ensuring efficient and impactful weatherization for your building.
Income eligibility qualification
Income eligibility is the key. Federal funds can be leveraged to the income qualified buildings only.
Data collection
Once the building meets the income eligibility criteria, we will proceed with data collection - Existing building and its energy systems - Conditions affecting the energy use of the building - Current energy use profiles - Health and safety considerations as they relate to weatherizing the building
